Before jumping into the preparation of how to use it, you need to know the components and the types of pressure cookers. For example, we need to familiarize ourselves with the main parts of it. The main parts are – the lid, sealing ring, pressure release valve, and pressure indicator.
Stove top and electric pressure cooker are the two types of pressure cooker. You need to understand the differences and choose what suits you the most.
In this phase, you must be prepared by confirming the condition of the pressure cooker. You need to keep track of the cooking process as it takes less time than a traditional method. Also, check the sealing lick to avoid any unintentional accidents. Finally, always use enough liquid to process the steam and cook the food.
For cooking food, we must be aware of layering ingredients properly. But in this process, do not fill the cooker beyond your recommended capacity. Otherwise, it will take much longer and the food will be tasteless.
Just ensure that the lid is properly closed, and it is locked before the start of the cooking process. After that, select the appropriate pressure level based on the food. After cooking, the pressure will be released manually or naturally.
You must not open the pressure cooker until all the pressure has been released. Otherwise, it will be catastrophic. Also, avoid touching hot surfaces and follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully.
After the cooking process, make sure it has been cleaned properly and store it in a dry place with its lid slightly open to prevent odors.
